Vine Life to be Re-Ignited in Fall 09

This year our Sunday School will be focusing on our Care Ministry. Pastor Ronny is asking us to implement the Vine Life Care Ministry in our Sunday School this coming fall. Vine Life come out of John 15 where Jesus is portrayed as the Vine, the Father is the gardener, and we are the branches or cluster shoots. Jesus the Vine feeds the branches with God's love, the branches feed the cluster stems full of love, and the cluster stems fill the grapes full of love, and together everyone grows, grows, grows as they top their access to love from the Vine, the branches, and the cluster stems.

To share an illustration, just outside of London, England at the Hampton Court Palace, there is a famous vine called "the Black Hamburg Vine." The vine should have died long ago from lack of water but the roots of that vine twined themselves all around the culvert and went into the dirty Thames River. Today the vine takes the dirty water out of the river and transforms it into the finest branches, cluster stems and grapes anyone would ever want. The vine that the branches, strems and grapes are grafted to makes the difference! It filters out all the dirt and turns everything else into the best love nourishment any branch, cluster stem or grape would ever desire.

This is what Jesus, the true Vine, seeks to do through the branches, cluster stems and grapes of the Vine Life Ministry at Prospect Church. As we get alignment working in the branches and clusters, we will see fruit we never knew was available for us to bear.

See you at the "Father's Vineyard" as we work together with Jesus every day, feasting on His marvelous love for us!
